In the 1950s, signs of renewal appeared in The Gulf Poetry, as it was influenced by the romantic trend in the particular and the international poetry in general. It was characterized by characteristics and features that departed from the characteristics of classical revivalist poetry. The most prominent of them in terms of content were: moving away from traditional poetic purposes, the dominance of the emotional side, the emergence of the poet’s subjectivity, and the embodiment of human feelings. On the artistic level, the departure from the pillar of the Arabic poetry and the adoption of free verse or the ta’feel system were among the most prominent features that distinguished Gulf poetry at that time, in addition to other features that distinguished the artistic images and the poetic lexicon from which the poet examines his words. Nature and its elements were also present as an equivalent to the poet’s self, as it is They coexist and experience it in all their emotional states. A number of contemporary Gulf poets have continued to follow the approach of the romantic poem, including the Emirati poet Mohammed Al-Emadi, whose most prominent features and characteristics in his poetic production at the levels of content and artistic form, through an analysis of his most recent poetic publications tagged with “stereotyped vocabulary”.
