This study aimed to examine the impact of home care services on improving the quality of life of older adults in Sharjah, with a particular focus on the health and psychological dimensions. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, using a structured questionnaire distributed among home care providers, including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and social and psychological specialists, working in the Social Services Department in Sharjah and the Ministry of Community Development. The results revealed that health-related home care services effectively reduced complications of chronic diseases, improved mobility, and enhanced the sense of health security, with an overall mean score of 4.21 out of 5. In parallel, psychological services played a crucial role in alleviating anxiety and depression, fostering belongingness, and improving life satisfaction, with an overall mean score of 4.08. The findings underscore that the integration of health and psychological services is essential to achieving a holistic quality of life for older adults. Therefore, the study recommends developing national policies that ensure the sustainability of home care services, strengthening professional training programs, and promoting family and community engagement in the caregiving process.
