The impact of the Covid-19 crisis on small projects in Sharjah - United Arab Emirates

The study aims to identify the impact of COVID-19 crisis on small projects in the Emirate of Sharjah It investigates the small projects managed by Emirati women and closely examines the reasons that motivated these women to establish their projects. Moreover, it seeks to highlight the social and economic challenges faced by these business owners. To this end, the qualitative approach was adopted for this study. A total of (32) interviews were conducted with Emirati women entrepreneurs who own a small business in Sharjah. These entrepreneurs received support from the Ruwad Establishment. The findings of the study reveal that most of the Emirati women business owners were affected by COVID-19 and the precautionary measures that were taken during the crisis.
