يُعد كتاب "المقصد لتخليص ما في المرشد" من أهم الكتب التي ألفها الإمام الأنصاري في القراءات القرآنية، ضمت شوارد وفرائد علم القراءات.
وقد قام شيخ الاسلام زكريا الأنصاري باختصار كتاب "المرشد الوقف والابتداء" الذي ألفه أبو محمد الحسن بن علي بن سعيد العماني (ت500ه)، لتحقيق الهدف من تجويد جمل القرآن، وأضاف إليه كثيراً من كتاب "المكتفي في الوقف والابتداء" للداني (ت444ه) وإلى غير ذلك من الفوائد التي يحتاجها طالب العلم.
