The role of Social Work in developing social capital in secondary schools
(An analytical study)

The first topic can be considered the role of social service in the development of social capital one of the topics worthies of attention because of its great role in preserving the existing ties between members of society, including school students who are the men of the future. Social money (cooperation, trust, tolerance, interaction, communication) and therefore the main objective of the study is determined to identify the role of social service in helping the school perform its social function in developing social capital.
The problem of the study came to identify the importance of social service in secondary schools and its role in developing social capital through the role of the social worker in facing school problems and helping students build interactive relationships that endear students in their schools.
On the importance of the study, it lies in the fact that schools have the basic role in the life of societies in developing and preparing the human element, as well as for their educational and social upbringing role in building a conscious generation that possesses knowledge and culture and is able to keep pace with the spirit of the age and preserve the cultural identity.
The second topic covered the school social service philosophy, its components and objectives, the role of the social worker in achieving the school’s social function, the specialist’s fields of work, and the obstacles he faces.
The third topic covered the relationship between social service and social capital and its impact on the behavior of school students and the role of the social worker in implementing extra-curricular activities.
The study found that social service contributes to the development of social capital through the implementation of programs for social, sports, artistic, cultural and scientific extra-curricular activities. Positive social capital in secondary schools contributes to building a generation of young people who are cooperative and have self-confidence and embody a model of good citizenship, and the presence of obstacles The role of the social worker is weakened, his qualifications are weak and his role in schools is unclear.
