مراحل اتحاد العرشين الانكليزي والاسكتلندي (1603-1707)

تهدف هذه الدراسة إِلى معرفة مراحل اتحاد العرشين الانكليزي – الاسكتلندي للمدة مابين(1603-1707)، أدى اتحاد العرشين عام (1603) مشكلة هيكلية في جسد مملكة انكلترا، اذ اصبحت مملكة واحدة تحكم ثلاثه ممالك منفصلة اسكتلندا وانكلترا وايرلندا، ان الاشكالية التي يعرضها البحث تتمثل بسؤال مركزي هو " هل كانت فكرة توحيد العرشين الانكليزي والاسكتلندي مسألة محورية نابعة من طبيعة الحاجة إِلى توحيد المؤسسات الدستورية بين المملكتين، ام هي مسألة اَنية طارئة وجدت لها داعمين في كلا الدولتين وانتهت باعلان الاتحاد عام 1707" ؟ اعتمدت الباحثة على منهج البحث التاريخي، قسم البحث على ثلاثة محاور، بحث المحور الأوَّل الجذور التاريخية للاتحاد الانكلو- اسكتلندي حتى عام(1685)، فيما ناقش المحور الثاني موقف البرلمان الاسكتلندي من ولاية العهد(1685-1702) أمّا المحور الثالث فقد وضح الجهود السياسية لاتحاد العرشين الانكليزي والاسكتلندي.
