Paths shaping critical awareness in the study of space by Yassin Al-Nassir

Abstract

This research aims to clarify "the paths of shaping critical consciousness in Yassin al-Nassir's study of space." Studying the paths of shaping critical consciousness in Yassin al-Nassir's works is not merely an academic study; rather، it represents an attempt to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and literary reality in the Arab world، making it a topic of great importance. After completing this research، we arrived at the most important findings and learned that the critic's interest، throughout his critical and often authorial career، was distributed across broad cultural fields، including narrative، poetry، folklore، children's literature، fine arts، and documentation. At certain stages of this career، he focused more on certain fields or branches of these fields than others. The stages of shaping the features of Yassin al-Nassir's critical discourse are evident through the development of his critical ideas and concepts، as he moved from rootedness and interaction with Western criticism to renewal and innovation in understanding literature. Critical knowledge for critic Yassin al-Nassir transcends being limited to the names of specific authors، critics، or intellectual movements. Like Gaston Bachelard، the dimensions of renewal are evident in the methodological visions presented by Yassin al-Nassir in studying place by integrating a range of different critical approaches، contributing to enriching the literary understanding of place by focusing on cultural، social، and psychological contexts.
