Social policy to combat drugs in the Emirate of Dubai

The current study aimed to analyze the situation of drug addicts in the Emirate of Dubai by using the available data analysis approach. This was done through a detailed overview of each of the federal and local laws and legislation related to drug control, extracted from the annual reports of the Public Prosecution of the Government of Dubai, in addition to the data available on the official website. For both the Ministry of Interior and the Community Development Authority, represented by both the Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation and the Ownak Center for Social Rehabilitation Finally to what was circulated in the official newspapers in the country. Which in its entirety confirmed that the United Arab Emirates in general and the Emirate of Dubai in particular are keen to fight everything that would disturb its security, safety and stability, by imposing penal penalties on anyone who dares to violate its laws and legislation. The study mentions a group of programs and services active in the Emirate of Dubai that work to implement anti-drug laws and legislation.
The study concluded that there is an increase number of cases registered with the Narcotics Prosecution in the Emirate of Dubai, in addition to an increase in the number of types of narcotic substances and the discovery of new types of them on an ongoing basis, despite the tireless efforts made by the law enforcement departments in the emirate. This may be attributed to the need to increase the punishment. Criminal law or reconsidering the nature and content of treatment and rehabilitation programs in a manner consistent with the conditions of a conservative society to limit these crimes and reduce their risks.
