The social and economic effects of the Corona pandemic on the family in Arab societies

The study aimed to identify the social and economic effects of the Corona pandemic on the family in the Arab societies from the point of view of the heads of households in the study communities. The present study adopted the descriptive and quantitative methods using a questionnaire form consisting of (21) items to collect data from respondents. The study sample was drawn from the heads of households in the Arab societies with a sample size reached (508 respondents). The findings revealed That the existence of a significant relationship between the economic effects of the Corona pandemic and the effects of social unrest in the Arab family. Additionally, the decline in the values of direct social communication will lead to an increase in the general social lack of cohesion in the Arab family, and a weakening of the social network. The study recommends paying attention to the importance of building the digital environment that keeps pace with the accelerated technological developments due to the importance of its role in the health empowerment of the Arab family. The study suggested conducting future research on the cultural consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic on the values of the Arab family.
