الحداثة الفردية من العوامل النفسية التي تعكس ميل الفرد لتبني الجديد والإنفتاح على التقنيات الحديثة. ومع إزدياد الإعتماد على الوسائط الرقمية، بات من الضروري فهم أثر هذه النزعة على أنماط الإستهلاك الرقمي، خاصة لدى الطلبة الجامعيين. تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى فحص العلاقة بين الحداثة الفردية والإستهلاك الرقمي لدى طلبة جامعة الذيد، مع مراعاة متغيرات مثل الجنس والتخصص الاكاديمي والحالة الاجتماعية والجنسية، وذلك لسد فجوة بحثية في هذا المجال المتنامي. هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف أثر الحداثة الفردية في الأستهلاك الرقمي لدى طلبة جامعة الذيد، و تحليل العلاقة بين الحداثة الفردية وكل من: الجنس، التخصص الأكاديمي، الحالة الاجتماعية، والجنسية. اُعتمد في الدراسة على منهج المسح الاجتماعي، وتم اختيار عينة الدراسة باستخدام الأسلوب الطبقي العشوائي من مجتمع طلبة الجامعة. ولجمع البيانات، تم إعداد استبانة مكوّنة من ثلاثة أجزاء، الجزء الأول تناول الخصائص الديموغرافية للمشاركين، الجزء الثاني تناول الحداثة الفردية، أما الجزء الثالث فتناول الإستهلاك الرقمي. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن الحداثة الفردية تمارس دورًا مؤثرًا في سلوكيات الإستهلاك الرقمي، كما تبين وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية مرتبطة ببعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية. وقد أوصت الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات.
