This research highlights the vital role that strategic planning plays in enhancing the ability to achieve the strategic objectives of the Sharjah Government, explaining how organized and thoughtful planning processes contribute to improving government performance and promoting sustainable development. Various aspects that form part of the strategic planning process are investigated, including defining vision and goals, analyzing the internal and external environment, and formulating strategies that enable meeting challenges and exploiting opportunities effectively. The importance of community participation and the use of technology are emphasized as key factors in supporting and improving The process of planning and implementing strategies.
The research concluded that strategic planning represents an essential element in the management and governance of the government sector, emphasizing its ability to direct efforts and resources towards achieving specific goals efficiently. It is clear from the study that the Sharjah government has been able, through its adoption of advanced strategic planning methodologies, to strengthen its position as a role model in sustainable development and effective management, which calls for encouraging more research and studies in this field to explore new horizons that contribute to developing and improving the planning and administrative process.
