Abstract

After occupying Iraq in the First World War, Britain tried to preserve its interests and position, as it mobilized British officials who held positions of advisors and experts to manage the affairs of Iraq during the Mandate era, in order to turn Iraq into a British colony, and laid the foundations of the administrative, financial and judicial systems in the country, without seeking the assistance of With his sons, as these employees legislated for themselves wide privileges and powers, but King Faisal I made a great effort to get rid of them, through legislation that stipulates reducing their powers and putting an end to the privileges they enjoyed, and this study attempts to shed light on British employees and what they were receiving from Wide salaries, privileges and powers during the occupation and mandate eras in light of Iraqi documents.
