الملخص

البحيرات من مشاريع الموارد المائية المهمة التي يترتب على تواجدها بعض المزايا والسلبيات التي تنعكس على البيئة والمناطق المجاورة. وعلى الرغم من الايجابيات الكثيرة لبحيرة الحبانية فهي في بذات الوقت تحدث انقلاباً شاملاً في الاحوال البيئية، وكما هو معروف فان للطبيعة احكام وانظمة ازلية وهي لا تعطي أكثر مما اعتادت عليه دون مقابل.

تتغير المساحة السطحية لبحيرة الحبانية تبعا للتصاريف المائية الواردة اليها والتي تراوحت ما بين (128 – 389) كم2 للمدة (2000-2019) وهذا الارتفاع والانخفاض في المناسيب المائية له اثار بيئية على الاراضي الزراعية والاستعمال السكني مع ارتفاع مناسيب المياه الجوفية في المناطق السكنية المجاورة للبحيرة، في حين ان انخفاض المناسيب المائية ادى الى تلوث المياه، لاسيما بكتريا القولون البالغة (1337) خلية/مل، وارتفاع نسبة الاملاح بما يقارب (1080) ملغم/ لتر.
