يعد شاعر عز الدين الموصلي من الشعراء الذين بارزوا في العصر المملوكي الثاني, حيث ولد شاعر عز الدين في القرن الثامن الهجري , في عام (724هـ ) وتوفي عام (789هـ ) في دمشق.
عز الدين شاعر بارع وفصيح , واديب متمكن في النظم, لقد نظم كثير من الأشعار وأبدع فيها كما نظم الموشحات , وكان له قدرة على نظم الألغاز , وله مؤلفات كثير , وقد ذكرت كثير من الكتب والتراجم ان له ديوان شعر لم يصل إلينا.
وقد خصصت بحثي هذا لدراسة الإيقاع الداخلي لشعر الشاعر المدروس، فدرست التكرار والجناس والتصدير .
