Wind energy is one of the types of renewable energy. Wind is a flow of gases resulting from differences in atmospheric pressure. When there is a difference in atmospheric pressure, the air will move from areas of higher pressure to areas of lower pressure. All of these differences and reasons are due to the influence of the sun, because the sun heats the winds unevenly around the earth, and about (1-2%) Some of the solar energy reaching the Earth is stored in the wind. The term wind energy describes the process of using the wind to generate electrical energy. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical energy. Windmills have been used since ancient times to grind grain and pump water.
