Abstract

The concept of behavior, which is a very central concept, is above all a tangential concept that expresses the multiplicity of dimensions and important interactions around human nature. A question related to the center of man in the existence surrounding him, what is his role and what is his position in it, and whether man is originally individualistic, and accordingly this individuality must be nurtured in him to the furthest extent possible, so his desires, activities and instincts are taken into account and made a standard to which he is judged even if it is at the expense of the surrounding society that must be viewed as an entity imposed on him from outside himself, controlled without his will, pressuring his being, and destroying his personality, or is the origin of man's nature that he is a follower revolving in the orbit of those around him and has no independent entity, so the group is the origin that eliminates his individual being and almost cancels his existence except as an individual in society, so he receives his values and knowledge according to the standards of that society.

In the research, we discussed John Dewey and his philosophy, the nature of individualism and its principles, and individualism according to John Dewey and its development in his philosophy.
