The Effect of Gender on the Effectiveness of the Comprehensive Care Home in the Emirate of Sharjah in Reducing the Social Effects on “juvenile” Children in UAE Society

This study addresses the impact of gender on the perception of the effectiveness of the comprehensive care home in the Emirate of Sharjah in reducing the social impacts on children (juveniles) in the UAE community. The study aims to analyze the qualitative differences between males and females in their evaluation of the services provided in care homes and how these differences affect their perception of the overall effectiveness of these institutions. The study relied on a questionnaire distributed to 780 participants of different nationalities residing in the Emirate of Sharjah. The data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to determine the significant differences between the sexes in various axes including psychological and social support, education and rehabilitation, recreational and cultural activities, and employee interaction with children. The results showed that there were significant differences in some axes such as the quality of educational services and psychological and social support, while no significant differences appeared in other axes such as communication with parents and general recreational activities. These results indicate the importance of adopting comprehensive policies and programs that take into account qualitative differences and meet the needs of both sexes in a balanced and effective manner to ensure improving the quality of care provided to children (juveniles) and enhancing the role of care in achieving sustainable social development in the UAE community.
