سبل معالجة وتحسين نوعية المياه في محافظة ذي قار

إن الزيادة في أعداد السكان تعني الزيادة على طلب استعمال المياه الصالحة في كافة الانشطة (البشرية, الزراعية, الصناعية) وفي نفس الوقت يلحظ محدودية المياه السطحية وانخفاض تصاريفها ومناسيبها مقارنة بالعقود السابقة بالذات في المناطق الجافة وشبة الجافة والتي تعد منطقة الدراسة جزءً منها فضلاً عن قلة التساقط المطري وزيادة نسب التبخر, وسوء أدارة الموارد المائية , ولا يخفى الشحة المائية التي مر بها البلد نتيجة لأملاء سد اليسو في الجمهورية التركية والازمة المائية التي شهدتها المنطقة الجنوبية ليس فقط نتيجة لانخفاض التصاريف والمناسيب النهرية وانما زيادة التراكيز الملحية في المياه , كلها أسباب دعت إلى أعادة النظر في تقدير حجم الإمكانات المائية المتاحة في منطقة الدراسة , ويمكن القول أن منطقة الدراسة تمتلك حصة مائية جيدة إذا أستثمرت بصورة صحيحة.
