The Nabataean and Sabaean Dialects in the Vocabulary of "Tahdhib Al-Lugha" Lexicon

This study examined the profound impact of Nabataean and Sabaean dialects on enriching the Arabic lexicon, with a particular focus on Al-Azhari's "Tahdhib al-Lugha" dictionary. The analytical semantic study revealed the close linguistic and cultural relationships between the Arabic language and these ancient dialects, and emphasized the importance of Al-Azhari's methodology in collecting and documenting Nabataean and Sabaean vocabulary accurately and objectively. The study also highlighted the semantic development that these words underwent over time, and how they contributed to shaping the Arabic lexicon and expanding its horizons. The study emphasized the importance of understanding this linguistic interaction in understanding the history and evolution of the Arabic language, and the importance of studying ancient dialects in understanding the origins of the Arabic language and its cultural heritage.
